This page will gather high-quality photos and histories of members of the Dilworth and Riter families for use by all family members.

We hope to find good materials on all the family of Caleb and Eliza Wollerton Dilworth (not just Rebecca), as well as all descendants of Michael and Elizabeth Niede Riter (not just Levi), through the third generation.

Histories

Caleb Dilworth and Eliza Wollerton

Levi Evans Riter and Rebecca Wollerton Dilworth

Levi and Elizabeth were pioneers of 1847. Their cabin is one of the oldest extant pioneer structures in Utah and is on display at This Is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City (click here for virtual tour, or try here if the other link goes dead). Levi went to San Francisco temporarily after the family came to Utah and had interesting experiences mining gold in 1849.

Francis A. Hammond and Mary Jane Dilworth

Mary Jane started the first school in Utah in 1847. She and her husband Francis A. Hammond served a mission in 1853 in Hawaii.
